Pržno

Pržno lies in the wide and beautiful valley of Ostravice river at the foot of Moravian-Silesian Beskydy. Pržno is mentioned in the written resources for the first time in 1372, in 1505 it is mentioned as a small town and town seal is used by Pržno even in 1856. The village lying on the right river bank, which formed the border between Moravia and Silesia and made part of the dominion of Frýdek, with which it shared its destiny for centuries. The most distinctive dominant of the village is the church of the Virgin Mary from the beginning of twentieth century. Current Pržno focuses especially on the support of the new residential construction via increasing of the quality of technical infrastructure and preparation of lands for individual construction in the pleasant submountainous village environment.
