Brušperk lies in the middle of the territory between Ostrava, Frýdek-Místek and Nový Jičín on both banks of Ondřejnice river in the area called Lašsko. The history of Brušperk starts by issuance of location document on 6th December 1269 by the bishop of Olomouc Bruno of Schauenburg. For its picturesque panorama Brušperk is called Bethlehem of Lašsko. From the surrounding hills you can enjoy impressive view of the entire panorama of Beskydy mountains with dominating Lysá Hora in the south-east and Radhošť in the south.
