Vyšní Lhoty is a mountainous village lying at the foot of Moravian-Silesian Beskydy below the peak of Prašivá, being scattered on the sides of surrounding hills. The first mentions about the village date bakc to 1292. The village is passed through by trade routes, especially so-called "Solárka" - salt route from Austria. There is a marked tourist path leading from the village, which can be used by pedestrians, cyclists and cross-country skiers in winter. The road leads to Prašivá peak, where there is a tourist chalet built in 1921. Not far from the chalet there is a wooden church of St. Antonius of Padova, which was built in 1640 by count Jiří of Oppersdorf.
